Accessing the FACE IT program, just days before my full mastectomy, helped ease the overwhelming fear about what my body would look like after surgery.  The fuzzy pink pillow provided physical comfort after surgery and acted as a gentle reminder that I could contact Dr. Richard or Johanne at almost anytime with any question.  Speaking with Dr. Richard and Johanne about other women who have survived breast cancer helped me remain hopeful.  If Dr. Richard and Johanne knew of women that have survived and thrived after breast cancer, then maybe I could, too!
