Being diagnosed with breast cancer, as a male, was a terrible shock to me and my family.  My wife contacted Dr. Annette Richard (her family doctor and now, mine) to talk about this unsettling news.  Dr. Richard offered her help and support immediately.  She arranged a visit to our home with her colleague, Johanne Nichols, and using a program developed by Dr. Richard, they prepared us for what to expect before and after the surgery, answering all our questions and concerns with patience and compassion.  I found it a great comfort to be in her care.
